We’re supporting National Apprenticeship Week

Here at Jewson, we strongly believe that investing in new talent for the business is important to create a diverse work force and of course, for future growth. That’s why we’re fully supporting National Apprenticeship Week, taking place on the 9th to the 12th March.

Sue Reed, Training Manager at Jewson comments: “Attracting new entrants into the industry is a top priority for us and as such, we’ll be carrying out numerous activities throughout National Apprenticeship Week. For example we’ll be supporting an event at Barking and Dagenham College where we’ll be running the Jewson Pergola Challenge – students will build two, permanent timber pergolas on campus and these will remain in place at the college leaving a lasting legacy of inspiration for fellow students.”

“We will also be visiting MidKent college, where Scott Cooper one of our Area Directors will be doing a talk for students about the merchant industry, the variety of opportunities available and our current apprenticeship vacancies at Jewson.”

National Apprenticeship Week celebrates apprentices and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the wider economy.
