We recognise that in Jewson branches and offices up and down the country, our employees are playing a vital role in making our customer service the best it can be.

With that in mind, we’ve increased our employee’s hourly rate of pay ahead of the Government’s introduction of the National Living Wage in April 2017.

The National Living Wage was first rolled out in April 2016 and means all businesses have to pay employees aged 25 and over at least £7.20 per hour. In his summer budget, George Osborne announced that this figure would be increased to £7.50 as of 1st April 2017. But we decided to go beyond this so will be paying all of our employees at least £7.80 per hour.

As we’re also keen to continue supporting young people entering our industry, it was a no-brainer to extend our wage increase to all of our employees over the age of 21.

A number of businesses across Saint-Gobain will also be offering increased rates of pay, including Jewson sister company, Graham.

Salary is just part of the benefits package all Jewson employees can access including the opportunity to buy and sell holidays, a discounted cycle through our cycle to work scheme for the health conscious as well as a childcare voucher scheme for parents.  We also offer a pension scheme with excellent life insurance cover and a money saving range of discounts through our reward website.
