Think you’re the best brickie, the perfect plumber or the shiniest spark? Then we want to hear from you.
The ‘Jewson Young Tradesperson of the Year’ ,competition is for people aged under 30 years who work full or part-time in the construction industry in a skilled trade.
We want to recognise the talent of apprentices who are new to the industry, as well as those who are already qualified, so get in touch if you think you’ve got what it takes.
Plus, there’s a trip to Barcelona, tickets to a football match and £1000 worth of tools up for grabs for the lucky winner!
It’s easy to enter, simply visit our website and explain why you should win in no more than 100 words. The closing date for entries is 29 February 2016.
To celebrate the launch of the competition and our new Foundation Plus account, we’ve created a video with Irish born funny man Andrew Ryan.
In a ‘Man vs. Build’ style challenge, we put him through his paces trying some construction skills, such as plastering a wall, tiling and putting up a shelf.
Needless to say, he should probably stick to being a comedian…Check it out here:
Following the closing date, a shortlist will be selected by an industry panel and revealed during National Apprenticeship Week (14th-18th March). The winner will then be announced at the end of March.
At Jewson, we want to help the construction industry’s latest talent thrive in whatever way we can. If you’re a recently qualified tradesperson, or an apprentice, our new Foundation Plus account offers everything you’ll need to further your career, from exclusive offers and discounts to additional support and training.
