At Jewson, we’re always looking to help people work safely, and to remind everyone of the importance of taking care, we host an annual health and safety day. This year to raise awareness of the day, we’re giving customers the chance to claim a free pair of eye protection.
We take health and safety incredibly seriously, and have long been leading the way in improving safety standards in the construction industry. We work hard to keep our sites as safe, clean and accident-free environments, and we continue to strive towards a target of ‘zero harm’ for our employees and contractors.
With our vast industry expertise, no one’s better placed to share health and safety best practice, or to highlight to customers, suppliers and contractors everywhere the risks they face.
One danger that can’t be ignored is damage to the eyes. Our eyes are precious, and with more than 1,000 eye accidents happening on-site each year – many as the result of poor protection – we’re doing our bit to help reduce that figure. This is why we’ve got 2,500 pairs of safety goggles to give away. But be quick, once they’re gone, they’re gone.
