Jewson Supports Seddon’s Apprentice Selection Community Challenge

It’s great when we can do something to support the local community and we recently supplied a range of building materials to Seddon Property Services to support a community challenge as part of its Apprentice Selection Week.

The project transformed a section of wasteland into a car park at the historic Middleport Pottery site. Visitors will use the car park when the new centre opens to the public in 2014. To help create it – Jewson supplied railway sleepers for the border, gravel to cover the main parking area and decorative gravel used around the edges of the car park.

Kevin Rhone, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at Seddon Property Services said: “Jewson delivered the material the day before we required it, and on the day itself we found we needed more sleepers and gravel to make it look better and at very short notice, Jewson delivered the extra supplies to the site on the day which was excellent.”
