We’ve helped Barnton library, in Northwich, transform a piece of wasteland into a new communal garden for its local residents.
Thanks to our Wallasey branch, which donated 24 railway sleepers after a branch tidy up, the new garden provides space for the community to gather together for small events and get involved in growing fresh vegetables – which they can help themselves to!
Catherine Mason, Senior Customer Services Representative at Barnton Library commented: “The garden has given us a great resource that benefits the whole community. It’s brilliant to see people, of all ages, popping in to the garden to help maintain it and make use of the space.”
