BOB’s guide to festivals

Fancy a last minute get away this summer with tunes and tents alike? Festival season is in full swing now! BOB rounds up the best festivals for everyone on site.

Festival No 6: 6th to 9th September

Perfect for: The site foreman who still has a mullet

Nestled along the Welsh coast of Portmeirion, this coastal beauty has it all: art, culture, music and top-notch food.

Meatopia, London: 31st August to 2nd September

Perfect for: The lunch van enthusiast

Okay, so not technically a music festival, but with a name like this we couldn’t not include it. Founded in the US and brought to the UK by chef Richard H Turner, it’s a barrage of high quality, ethically sourced meat cooked by some of the world’s leading chefs. You’re welcome.

Green Man Festival: 16th to 29th August

Perfect for: The apprentice with the man bun

Tucked away in the Brecon Beacons, this festival has a distinctly ‘villagey’ vibe. From ukulele music (probably) to midnight bonfires and outdoors cinemas, it’s like, so not corporate maaan.

Leeds & Reading: 24th to 26th August

Perfect for: Young trade stars!

This pair of rock festivals are a classic in the festival line up. Sitting smugly on the August bank holiday, the two festivals happen simultaneously and feature eight stages as well a DJ sets long into the night. Perfect for any music enthusiast.
