“And the nominees are…” Building Better Communities Finalists Announced

Following a two-week-long assessment process, with teams of judges meeting up and down the UK, we’re pleased to announce the finalists for Jewson Building Better Communities 2016.

With over 1,800 entries, in 11 regions across England, Scotland and Wales, it was no easy task to whittle down all of these deserving causes to a final shortlist.

47 different regional projects will be in with a chance to share a pot of £100,000 while twelve other projects are vying for the top prize of a £150,000 Saint-Gobain My Comfort transformation.

You can get behind your community and vote for your favourite projects at the Jewson Facebook page. Voting closes on 19th June.

Not having enough room on the shortlist for so many worthy causes was perhaps the most difficult part of the judging process. But the projects and groups that didn’t make it this time can still have an impact on their community by getting behind other local finalists.

Also, let’s not forget -they can always re-enter for next year’s competition!
