BOB’s guide to… the Bank Holiday

Ahh… four glorious days off.

Time to sit back, relax and enjoy a hard-earned brew (alcoholic or otherwise).

Or… you could pick your tools back up and get the house in order. Go on, you know you’ll never have time to get those niggly jobs done while you’re working.

Here are our top tips to help you make the most of the Bank Holiday.

Harness shed loads of potential

There’ve been one or two nice (well, dry) days recently, which has got us thinking about the great outdoors. Is this the year you’ll finally turn your shed into the ultimate man shed? We think so. Or build a shelter for those inevitable drizzly BBQs, at least…

Be a fake

The arrival of spring and summer means one thing: lawn care. If you can’t handle the thought of getting the mower out every few weeks, consider going fake. It’s like cosmetic surgery for your lawn and it looks especially lovely when brightened up with potted plants or a floral border.

If that’s not enough to convince you, we’re doing Grono 35mm premier artificial lawn for just £17.95 per square metre off the roll. Use our Branch Locator to find your nearest Landscaping Centre.

Get hire (and hi-re!)

Depending on what needs sorting in your own personal castle, you might not have the tools for the job to-hand. Don’t bother buying a whole new set of kit for an odd job at home – get involved with Jewson Tool Hire.

It’s 50% off over the Bank Holiday, so it’d be rude not to…

And we’re sorry to mention the ‘w’-word in an article about the Bank Holiday, but it is a great opportunity to stock up your van for work on Tuesday.
