Five Steps to the Dream Kitchen

There’s no ‘one size fits all’ approach when it comes to constructing a kitchen, and the design process can often be complex and overwhelming. You want to make sure you deliver what the customer wants, but you have to keep practicality in mind.

There are all sorts of things to consider, from appliances, worktops, sinks and taps, to fixtures, fittings and storage requirements. Then there’s lighting; will accent lighting work better than zone lighting, or is task lighting the way to go?

It’s a job that can be tricky to get right, so we’ve produced the ‘By Design Kitchen’ brochure to help make things a whole lot easier for you to give advice and design options.

So how do you achieve the dream kitchen?

  1. Start with a plan

You need to get a feel for what your customer wants from their kitchen – are they looking for a modern kitchen with hi-tech appliances, or a more traditional kitchen with solid wood worktops? Talk to your customer and pull together a rough layout of where things need to be to make the most of the space available.

  1. Take a road trip

Here at Jewson we understand that visiting a showroom and seeing a kitchen is a must. That’s why we have over 60 kitchen showrooms across the nation, fitted with a wide selection from our kitchen ranges. Your customers can also visit too, so they can best visualise their dream kitchen.

  1. Talk to our qualified showroom team

While in branch, you can also get advice from our qualified showroom teams. Using our ‘By Design Kitchen’ or ‘Studio Kitchen’ brochures, our team will help you make your customer’s dream kitchen a reality. We’ll help you select the right products for the job while still meeting the needs of your customer, and we’ll guide you every step of the way.

  1. See it in 3D

Our showroom team and design consultants will visit your site to take measurements, see how everything will fit into place and iron out any kinks in the design. They’ll then produce a 3D plan, a perfect reference point for you and your customer.

  1. Complete the dream

You’ll now have everything you need to create the kitchen your customer has always dreamed of owning. It’s often said that the kitchen is the heart of the home, so it’s important to do the customer’s dream justice. Remember that our design consultants will be with you every step of the way, as much or as little as you need them, to make sure you complete the dream to the highest standard.

Following this five step guide will make kitchen construction a whole lot easier. Our collection of Modern, Traditional and Shaker kitchens have a wide range of products, so you’re sure to find exactly what you’re looking for.
