Strengthening local community links within Warrington with a new boxing gym

A new purpose built gym and boxing club facility has opened in Warrington, with help from the Cheshire Fire Brigade constabulary, as well as staff from the local Warrington Jewson branch. By supplying over 90 percent of materials and parts at reduced cost, we helped the refurbishment of an old fire brigade engine bay become the new facility.

Funded by the local fire brigade service in conjunction with local Warrington boxing club, the gym will be available to the local community to enjoy the amenities, classes and purpose built boxing gym.  In addition, local primary and secondary schools will benefit, being able to use the area for exercising as part of their National Curriculum agenda.

Steve Daniels, Branch Manager at Jewson Warrington commented: “The new boxing gym is a fantastic example of the local community working together to produce a facility that everyone can use and enjoy.”
