Those of you with good memories might recall that at the start of this year, our St Helens branch set a target of raising £1000 by the end of 2014 for Macmillan. Well, we’re pleased to announce that they’ve smashed their target and have already raised an astonishing £1580.00 – and it’s only November!
Steve Duckworth, Tool Supervisor at St Helens, said: “At the beginning of the year I thought I set quite a tough target. However, through teamwork with our suppliers and employees as well as monthly breakfast mornings it’s been more than achievable.
“A special thank you has to go to the bravery of our customer Dave Bowden and his friends Danny Howard and Lee Galimore for doing a sky dive on behalf of the branch, raising a fantastic £450 – it truly is appreciated. Also, a massive thank you to our suppliers such as Beaver84, Bosch, Scruffs, Multi-serve, Challenger, Tool bank, Milwaukee and Costco, as without their donations the raffles we held would have been non existent.”
Our St Helens branch is hoping to hold another fundraising morning before Christmas, so if you’re in the area keep a look out and join in with the fun. After all, the money raised is going towards a very worthwhile charity.
