Last week, the Jewson team and I attended the 2015 Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) event in Manchester.
One of the key themes at the event this year was regeneration, with CIH publishing a Regeneration Revival report detailing the UK’s current ways of working, key barriers to renewing our approach to regeneration, and predictions for the future.
The report also stated that one of the biggest barriers to regeneration is the difficultly in accessing traditional funding.
Regeneration is clearly a hot topic at the moment and we’ve noticed this trend with our customers. More than ever our customers are looking for advice on materials and systems which will deliver the best long-term results when making investments into new and existing housing stock.
Thanks to our previous experience in the housing maintenance and development market, we’re able to provide our customers with personalised advice on materials. For example, since 2005, we’ve worked with Golden Gates Housing to provide an on-site Jewson branch with a bespoke range of materials tailored to its needs, delivering £70,000 of savings on materials.
