Our timber experts work hard to ensure that we harvest the most sustainable wood possible, while continuing to provide great quality products for your projects. All the timber we stock is Chain of Custody certified guaranteeing responsibly and sustainably sourced products.
- What is CLS Timber?
One of our most popular, and most asked for products, is Canadian Lumber Standard (CLS) Studwork Timber. The timber is planed on all sides making it ideal for frame building, cavity wall construction and many forms of general lightweight building & carpentry.
- What CLS sizes are available?
Our CLS Studwork Timber comes in a range of sizes, the most popular being 50mm x 75mm (38mm v 63mm finished size) and 50mm x 100mm (38mm x 89mm finished size) in 2.4m and 4.8m lengths. Other lengths are available. We’ve also equipped a number of our branches with cutting facilities, meaning we can cut your CLS timber to specific lengths for faster, easier and hassle-free installation when you get on site.

If you’re buying CLS Studwork Timber for one of your upcoming jobs, don’t forget to add all the other building materials you need to complete the project. We stock a wide range of plasterboard ready for immediate collection, so you can have your wall put up in next to no time. For flooring, paneling and other general joinery projects, you’ll have plenty to choose from thanks to our stock range of sheet materials, including chipboard and OSB (Oriented Strand Board).
