ECO+ Scheme
To help answer the questions your customers are asking about energy-saving measures, it’s worth familiarising yourself with the upcoming ECO+ Scheme. Set to run from April 2023 until 2026, the UK government has introduced the scheme to help thousands of households get access to funding for low-cost insulation.
The ECO+ Scheme covers the installation of insulation and low-carbon heating, such as:
- Internal walls insulation
- Loft insulation
- Room in a roof insulation
- Air source heat pumps
Across England, Scotland and Wales, it’s estimated that loft insulation costs around £640 in a semi-detached house but can save as much as £355 a year on energy bills. Likewise, cavity wall insulation costs around £1,000 and carries a saving of £395 a year.
With £1billion in funding available, the ECO+ Scheme will make crucial home improvements like these possible for thousands who might otherwise struggle to foot the bill.
So, if you’re speaking to customers about energy-saving measures, speak to them about the ECO+ Scheme. It could help them save money on their bills, get you some extra work, and ultimately help us all to make our homes warmer and more energy efficient.
