Based in the town of Loughborough, Charnwood Borough Council looks after 5,800 properties across northern Leicestershire. To make sure each home under its management is kept to the highest standard possible, the council decided to renew its property repair materials supply contract with the local Jewson team.
The contract has been signed initially for three years and is valued at £2.8 million.
To help provide proactive repairs and scheduled maintenance, Charnwood Borough Council sought a partner that could deliver a fast and reliable service for the 1,250 reactive and planned repairs it carries out every month.
With two local branches in Loughborough and a streamlined product monitoring service, Jewson was the ideal partner to support the council in meeting the requirements of its residents.
As well as a fast service, Charnwood also needed a company that could provide expert advice and guidance on the specification and installation of materials. Jewson has over 41,000 products in its catalogue and so the team knew they could provide the knowledge and support necessary, as well the expertise to specify the right product for the job.
The local Jewson team holds frequent meetings with the Charnwood repairs team to keep up to date with the challenges they’re facing. That way, they can recommend the perfect solution to their problem.
