Following a long working relationship with Whitefriars Housing, going back to 2004, we’re delighted to announce the opening of a new dedicated branch in Coventry.
Whitefriars Housing is part of the West Mercia Housing Group, one of the largest social housing providers in the West Midlands. They own and manage over 30,000 homes across Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Birmingham, Coventry and the wider West Midlands.
In April 2009, following the expiry of a previous arrangement and a rigorous tender process, Jewson secured a groundbreaking 12 year supply contract with Whitefriars Housing to provide a dedicated branch for all of their building material requirements. The previous store was located on the Bilton Industrial Estate near Coventry City Centre.
As the contract has grown, we have demonstrated our commitment to the partnership by providing a more modern facility in a new location, which ensures the housing provider has easy access to the tools and materials it needs, when it needs them.
In addition to secure stocking areas, this contemporary site provides Whitefriars with dedicated parking facilities for its direct labour force, along with comfortable and modern welfare facilities and a spacious meeting room.
Jewson also provide IT solutions for the housing group, making it easy for employees to reserve and order products, even when out on-site, and respond to resident queries as quickly and efficiently as possible.
