After completing the Wigan 10km race last year, Jeff Farrell our Business Development Manager – Roofing in the North West, decided to grab his trainers and run it again, this time to raise money for Macmillan.
Finishing the race in just 64 minutes, Jeff raised £150 for our charity partner. “Last time I ran the race for a different charity, but this year I thought it would be great to raise money for Macmillan,” commented Jeff. “I’m not a regular runner but I do try to attend the gym a couple of times a week, so I managed to complete the race in a time I was happy with.
“There were around 3,500 runners that participated and I think there was double the amount of spectators that turned up to provide support; it was an amazing atmosphere! A couple of my colleagues and family members came along and supported me all the way – it really was appreciated and I can’t wait to do it all again next year!”
