When retired engineer Graeme Ross decided to tackle a self-build project on his own, he made sure he paid a visit to his local Jewson branch in Paisley. The team helped source the right building materials as well as advice and support whenever it was needed.
Graeme Ross began his self-build project nearly two years ago, after buying a property in Renfrewshire, just South of Glasgow, which was in desperate need of renovation. The existing property was demolished and Graeme designed his new dream property.
Having visited his local Jewson branch in Paisley before, it was the first port of call when it came to buying the materials required including sand, cement, block, timber and sheet materials.
The service at Jewson has always been very good so the merchant was a natural choice for me. The team was fast at sourcing what I needed at competitive prices and the branch manager was extremely helpful; he was always there when I wanted any help or advice about whether or not materials were fit for purpose,” said Graeme.
At Jewson, we’ve been working with self build customers for many years and can offer advice as well as cost savings on materials and fittings.
