If you regularly hire skips on behalf of your customers you should be aware that Landfill Tax is increasing by £8.00 to £72.00 per tonne from midnight on the 31st March 2013. Plus, this rate is expected to increase to £80.00 per tonne in 2014!
Be warned that this increase will affect your current skip rates for new deliveries, exchanges and collections. So any skips out on site now that are exchanged on or after the 1st April 2013 will be affected so make sure you inform your customers to avoid any unnecessary invoice queries.
