For decades, cement has been packaged in durable, plastic packaging to stop it being damaged when stored on site. With the British weather being famously unpredictable, packaging needs to be weatherproof to stop it falling foul to rain and other elements. This is especially important on site, where storage can be limited and materials may have to be kept outdoors.
In addition to the need for packaging to be weatherproof, a recent customer interview carried out by Hanson showed that one of the main gripes with cement packaging is around the strength of the bag and corners failing.
