Jewson is well known for supplying sustainable timber to builds of all shapes and sizes across the country. However, on this occasion we are getting our heels dug into something a little different!
We are delighted to be supplying timber from our Deal branch, to artist Alex Chinneck for his latest project. Situated in the small seaside town of Margate – Alex will refurb the front of a house in red brick but the build will deliberately look as if the front has slid away from its original location, sloping into the front garden. This complete with windows, bending drainpipes and doors, revealing the upper interiors to the open air.
Alex’s ambitions are to defy the realms of possibility, presenting everyday life in a way that surprises and excites. We are sure you will agree that this visually engaging project is all of these things, and more.
The build will take four weeks and during this time, we will upload images to keep you up to speed with his progress.
