The new rugby season is finally here. Good luck Gloucester for the season ahead from all of us at Jewson!
Jewson is proud sponsor of international cycling team, MI Racing.
Mick Ives, Director of MI Racing, said: “It is wonderful that a driving force such as Jewson is supporting the team, with such an obvious interest in the sport. Each team member will be proudly competing in the well-known blue and yellow Jewson colours this year.”

Over 250 cyclists from across the UK – Jewson staff, customers and suppliers – have completed the Tour de Jewson 2011, raising an impressive £24,000 for our ‘together’ charity partner Barnardo’s. It really was a gruelling challenge. It took over two weeks and saw the cyclists stretched to their limits, navigating through 1800-miles of some of England’s roughest terrain from Lands End to John ’O’ Groats.
We’re so proud of what we’ve achieved and we’d like to thank everyone that took part – cyclists, the support team and those that donated! Barnardo’s is a truly worthwhile cause and we look forward to continuing to work with the charity throughout the year. There are lots of charity plans in the pipeline before Christmas and after – so ask at your local branch to find out what’s going on in your area.
The Jewson team were in the Quadrant Shopping Centre, Swansea to witness the unveiling of the Ospreys new 2011 home jersey. Here is some footage from the day…
We released a video earlier this year which saw us us team up with Gloucester Rugby to produce a short film featuring key players from the team; including Mike Tindall, James Simpson-Daniel, Henry Trinder, Freddie Burns and Charlie Sharples. Check out this “Behing the Scenes” film to find out how the lads managed to achieve those amazing skills!
The Jewson team were in the Quadrant Shopping Centre, Swansea on Saturday afternoon to witness the unveiling of the Ospreys new 2011 home jersey. We’ve been eagerly awaiting the new strip as it features our 175th anniversary logo on the sleeve.
Hundreds of rugby fans turned out to catch a glimpse of rugby stars Shane Williams, Alun Wyn Jones and Ryan Jones, as well as up and coming youngsters Justin Tipuric, Ashley Beck and James King who modeled the new black and steel blue shirt on stage for their supporters.
The event was hosted by 102.1 Bay Radio’s award-winning breakfast presenter Tommo, who whipped the crowd up into a frenzy ahead of the appearance by the entire senior squad, who met with fans, signing autographs and posing for pictures.
More than 42,000 Ospreys jerseys were sold over the last 12 months and the 2011 version is expected to prove just as popular.
