Gloucester fan scores with Jewson

On the 5th of February Kevin Mizen got more than he bargained for when he went to watch Gloucester Rugby Club play at home. The lucky spectator of Headley Park in Bristol won £1600 cash and £600 of vouchers to spend with us when he won the Jewson Cross Bar Challenge at half time. Kevin is the first person to win the challenge in over a year.

Our Cross Bar Challenge gives the lucky owner of a ticket drawn from a hat three attempts to hit the cross bar from the 22 metre line. After having his ticket called out, Kevin stepped out onto the pitch to take part. With the crowd behind him, Kevin hit the cross bar on his third and final attempt.

Gary Little, Gloucester Rugby’s Community Manager said, ‘The Cross bar Challenge has become a regular part of our half-time entertainment at home games. The prize fund has been building all season and, as such, the excitement has been growing too each week.  Congratulations to Kevin!’
