Hot off the press is our Sustainable Development Review for 2013. We’re very proud to say that we’ve made some great achievements, including saving enough water to fill 178 Olympic sized swimming pools – so read on because there’s a lot more.
Through our efforts in 2013 we’ve managed to have 93% of our timber certified, 59% of our waste recycled and although it’s a difficult and complex task, we’ve managed to reduce our carbon emissions by over 1 tonne per million pound turnover.
Also, our results show we’re on track to achieve our target of 0% of waste to landfill by the end of 2014, which is a fantastic achievement! However, our work to be the most sustainable builders’ merchant continues. So keep your eyes peeled for future updates.
