Howzat for a partnership!

We are proud to announce we are partnering with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) for the third year running to support the award-winning NatWest CricketForce Initiative.

The privilege account scheme is all about getting the community together to help improve and update their local cricket club, ensuring it is ready for the new season. Clubs from up and down the country get involved and last year, more than 800 clubs benefitted from the scheme.

So how does it work?

Clubs would pay £50 into their local Jewson branch and would benefit from a donation of £350 from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). The clubs that took part were given a whopping £400 in total to spend on building and decorating materials to get their clubs up to scratch.

From 4th to 6th April, The NatWest CricketForce Initiative will be holding a showcase weekend to get club members and the local community stuck in to get work underway. This year’s Showcase club is Forton Cricket Club in Shropshire and England legend Mike Gatting will be attending to show his support. As well as Forton, Mike will also be visiting Cockermouth CC in Cumbria and Pedmore CC in Worcestershire.

“The Privilege Account reinforces Jewson’s long-established commitment to supporting local communities and this year we have seen even more clubs taking advantage of the scheme,” explained James Bugden, Key Account Manager at Jewson.
