Jewson bats a few bricks for local cricket club

Thanks to our Privilege Account Scheme, our Cleckheaton branch was able to donate £400 of building materials to help renovate Crossbank Methodists Cricket Club’s old and run-down clubhouse.

The new building will comprise of a large lounge and function room, refreshments bars, dining areas, a kitchen, shower blocks and larger male and female changing rooms.

Richard Hosley, Coach at Crossbank Methodist Cricket Club, said: “The new clubhouse will provide the current 250 members with a larger, secure and more inviting environment – which they deserve!

“We are very thankful for the materials Jewson has donated to us and we look forward to continuing our friendship with the Cleckheaton branch!”

Steve Garraghty, branch manager of Jewson Cleckheaton, commented: “When we heard about the project, we were more than happy to help out. The cricket club is an organisation local to us and is a great opportunity to engage with the local community and give something back to the area. It been a great pleasure to be a part of this project and we can’t wait to see the end result!”
