Howzat for lending a hand!

Staff from local builders’ merchant, Jewson, volunteered their time at Harrow Town Cricket Club this weekend, where they helped with grounds maintenance. Part of a showcase event in the award-winning NatWest CricketForce initiative, the event was also attended by England captains Alastair Cook, Charlotte Edwards and ECB Managing Director of Cricket Partnerships Mike Gatting, alongside the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson.

Harrow Town Cricket Club was one of nearly 2000 clubs that took part in the NatWest CricketForce over the weekend of 5th-7th April.  When a cricket club opens a Jewson Privilege Account with an initial payment of £100, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) will add a further £400. The money is enabling clubs such as Harrow Town to purchase much-needed building and decorating products for use by volunteers in order to keep their grounds and facilities in top condition.
