We were thrilled to welcome Baroness Verma, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, to Greenworks for a tour of our Academy. Greenworks has been appointed the official supplier for the Birmingham Energy Savers scheme, which is set to make energy use greener and more affordable for households across the city, as well as boosting the local job market.
Greenworks is working alongside support services provider Carillion, for the Birmingham Energy Savers scheme, and on an official visit to the city, Baroness Verma took the time to come along to the Training Academy to see some training underway and meet the team.
“I had the pleasure of meeting 15 trainees undertaking the last day of their Green Deal assessor training at the Green Works Academy,” commented Baroness Verma. “This excellent facility, which offers training and certification for people aspiring to work in the Green Deal market, is testament to the growing need for quality services in energy efficiency across the country.”
