As part of our ‘together’ partnership, we recently played host to a five-a-side football tournament to raise money for the Help the Hospices Charity. The event raised over £400, which was donated to the St Francis Hospice in Romford.
The final whistle saw the hometown take the top spot in the competition, in which approximately 30 players from five branches flaunt their skills at the Power League in Fairlop, Essex. Steve Wakeman, Area Manager at Jewson commented:
“This tournament was not only a great way to show our continued support to Help the Hospices, it was fantastic in bringing together a number of branches. The Barking branch did an excellent job at organising the tournament and overall the event was a great success.”
